Over the years I’ve become intrigued by the works of Antony Gormley, a London-born artist. Years ago I was amazed by his ‘Angel of the North’, a huge angel-like statue. Earlier this year I visited ‘Another Place’ at the beach near Liverpool. His statues can be found all over the world, but mostly in Great Britain. Most of his art is in a public area, free for anyone to enjoy. The iron men seem to pop up everywhere! It is the combination of the statue or sculpture and its surroundings which makes it also interesting for photographers. Flickr is filled with great shots of the works by Antony Gormley, just have a look!
